Do you gunsmiths see excessive wear, broken extractors, etc from using cheap, steel-cased ammo?

Im no gunsmith, but ive shot thousands upon thousands of steel cased rounds and ive yet to see appreciable wear. Even if I did see considerable wear, Ive saved hundreds of dollars over buying brass which would be happily spent on worn parts.

nope.
Just clean your chamber before you shot brass cased ammo. Varnish build up will cause problems.

I've never seen any difference in wear patterns' from using Wolf and in some types of rifles (like HK's DRLB) it's a whole lot better option than using brass cased anything.

I have A LOT of guys bring guns in with failed extraction from wolfe... no permanent damage from it, just a torn rim and a case stuck in chamber... so your shooting trip is over.

One fact, I've NEVER had to forcibly remove a stuck steel case from a rifle, only carbine or pistol.

Gotta be chamber pressure at the time of extraction, Differnet powder burn rate in Russian ammo ? burns too long, so unlock and extract steps happen while under pressure?

but like someone said broken cases do happen in ar's,tight chambers and weak cases.
buy a extractor tool and keep a long cleaning rod in the trunk/bed of vehicle.

my stag upper don't like steel case,but it tends to only do it in cool/cold weather,while in havasu in may last year it was 100+ out and ran 100rds no issue.

You mean break in the action??? I hope...

I break in an AR with one mag slow fire first, to confirm everything is working. The let her rip bump fire a mag or two and call it good. It's not like it a sniper rifle or a bench rest weapon. It's a door kickers best tool. Nothing more.
