night sight install and zeroing question

I need to install the night sights trijicon hd I bought for two of my glocks. Is it worthwhile to buy a sight pusher for veryifying zero and making any adjustments even if I fit the sight with a file and tap it in using an aluminum or nylon tipped punch and a vise? Otherwise how do you check zero besides bringing a hammer, punch, and block of wood to the range along with your loctite to finish the install?

With the sight tool you can just bump the sights over a tiny bit. Ive heard using the sight tool alone isnt recommended because you cant "feel" when the sight is too tight and it needsbsome filing.
just happy to be here. I like talking about better ways to protect ourselves.

    B&J Machine Sight Alignment Tool

Best money you will ever spend. When Midway is out of stock on them, you can call B&J directly and order from them.

If you are not going to do this more than once, then it may be a waste of money.

The other tool I use in conjunction with this tool is a Site-Lite laser. You can get the sight perfect, 100% of the time the first time using this combination.

Takes the guess work out of it all.

I purchased a sight adjustment tool (Kimber I think). And replaced a few sets of sights (including the ones on my glock) with night sights. The tool made it simple to complete, along with the zero adjustments. I found on my glock that the sights were perfectly sized. They slid right into place with just the right amount of effort, no additional fitting was required.

And, the sight pusher has pretty much paid for itself already. I've used it a few times and a number of my friends have been able to install their own sights too.

      Good investment.

      YMMV
      Sorry, not sorry.

when installing the rear sight measure the space on both sides of the sight with a micrometer. Once centered you are good.
