    Best AR-15 lubricant

None of the firearms lubricants that I see retail even vaguely resemble the semen-like stuff that the Army issued back in the 70's for our M-16's. Does it matter? What do the gunsmiths use and recommend?

      Synthetic 5w-20.

Only way to go. I've seen way too many guns go down running minty crap or some super high tech $50 a bottle lube.

Slip 2000 EWL. Non toxic, non petrolium based, no smell, non cancerous. Takes 1200 degrees and won't burn off. Works 20 degrees below zero too.

No extra automotive ingredients that don't belong in your gun. I use Royal Purple in my Jeep, but Slip in my guns.

I don't know about "best" lube, but there are plenty out there that gets the job done. Just have to experiment with each. Heck, my cousin even used wd-40 on his ar before. Any how, have you tried froglube? How about ballistol?

WD-40 blows it isn't really a lubricant but a moisture remover. I'd never Allow that around my guns unless I was going to be storing for a long time but definitely not for a lubricant. There is some many gimmicky tacticool lubes these days it's ridiculous.

Unless you plan on regularly operating your rifle in muddy or sandy conditions, any of the reputable and readily available CLP products will work just fine...stick with the one you choose. I've used Gibbs Brand in my shop and on my race cars/hot rods for decades...and as a CLP on my rifles and shotguns for just as long. I also use it on my final few barrel swabs for my pistols and revolvers before putting them back in the safe.

Fireclean is what my son uses and swears by it. He tests firearms and reviews them on his blog SpartanTC, on YouTube also.

You can still get LSA on ebay for $15 a quart.

I'll sell you a gallon (or any fraction there of) of turbine/compressor oil for $60 = $.46875 per ounce, just round it off to $.50 an ounce. It's SSL 46 look it up very good stuff it's an SAE 20 equivalent so that $10, 4.oz bottle of whiz bang gun oil is $2.50 an ounce and don't work any better then anything else it's just harder on your wallet.

White Lithium grease seems to work well for staying on the bolt

                          As does any quality oil
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

                            Mobil 1 oil.
You may not like guns, and choose not to own one. That is your right. You might not believe in God. That is your choice. However, if someone breaks into your home, the first two things you're going to do are, 1) Call someone with a gun, 2) Pray they get there in time.
