Has anyone had any issues with ak builder flats, I have bent many before without issue. Using the ak builder flat bending jig all pins were lined up and tight onto the punch. but after bending it, it is 3-4 mm higher on the left front side, making the front trunnion to canted. when taking it off the punch the pins were still lined up correctly. is it just a bad flat?

Never had that issue or seen an issue at the BPs I have attended. If it did not shift in the bending jig and the jig is not bent/broken and when pressed it went all the way down into the jig it must of been a bad flat.
Does the reciever sit flat on the bottom when placed on something level and flat? If it does and is not twisted... Is the mag well centered on the bottom of the receiver? -
That was because someone didn't tighten down the plate
It happens. Something on the CNC punch press hits the flat as it's being punched shifts the whole thing off center a touch and now when it bent referenced off of the off center holes it's all screwed upLast edited by kcstott; 01-21-2014, 7:47 AM.Comment
