First of all, thanks to all who chimed in previously on my AK build questions.

Success! All ten fingers in tact.

Just finished up at USI and my first build worked fine. Groups were even tight (for me) and no cycling issues.
Checked headspace at least 4 times and had that little pucker moment on the first round.

Yup, very rewarding.

During the Xmas break I got a tad out of control on the Apex sight so yes, planning the next few.
AK builder should know me by now too.
Ill start giving these to friends and family like they're cupcakes.

I'm thinking you probably don't need any more.
Thanks again for the input. Next one will get more attention to aesthetics. This one, being first is less than perfect of course but I'm happy and it shoots so all is good.

Yeah buddy, the next twenty will turn out better and better as you refine your skills and figure out what works well and what doesn't. Besides, an AK is not supposed to be perfect.

What do you mean need?? It's not about need. This is all teenage lustful want and desire I was just surprised that you said even if it was jokingly about giving them away to family and friends. Ok the friends thing maybe but others in my family out here either don't like AK's, or are not worth hen chit on a pump handle so they don't deserve a damn thing.

Found myself surfing sites last night and slightly disappointed that many kits already had barrels installed. Half the gratification was from getting that just right.
Good point kcstott, need is really not an issue, and for my family, only a couple wouldn't call DHS on me if I gave them an AK.
