    frame differences sig 228 229?

Can anyone confirm a dimensional difference? I know about the slides. I know about a mag well change. Is there any other change to the frame? I'm going to make a stainless frame for a 229 slide.

    Copied from SigTalk.com site.
The old P229 9mm non-rail made before about 2010 is the same frame as the P228 frame. The magazines are the same also.

After 2010 SIG Sauer began making the P229 9mm using the frame from the P229 .40S&W/.357SIG.

If you can find the older frame, everything will fit.

OK so there is a difference between a 228 9mm and a 229 40. Anyone know of a 229 drawing out there. I have been looking for years.

I wonder what it would cost to have a shop hit one with a CMM and give you a pint cloud image that you could clean up to a usable print??

I used to run the cmm at my old shop if I had a 229 I'm sure I could use it on a weekend. Anyone want to participate?
