I have the same problem on my ep lower, I even try 3 different trigger groups with out success. I email ep armory to see if the warranty will cover this problem.

You should have read all the threads that are posted on the ep lower.

The selector hole is in the wrong location. A quick fix is to shave down the tail part of the trigger assembly.

Yes the trigger should function with out the safety lever, for testing purposes.

Now, is the selector hole in the wrong place or is the FCG pocket just not deep enough ??? Usually, it's just the latter and NOT the former.

Either way, now you boys know where to look.

Upload some pics so we can see the fcg pocket.

Also as DEF pointed out your pocket should be 1.250 inches deep. You can use a ruler to get this measurement.

Make sure to remove the safety selector so we can eliminate that from the equation.

Try Putin the front hammer pin half way in and a smaller punch in the other side. It should allow it to move around a lil. Then you can check the trigger for function. A lot of the ep lowers are marked wrong. You might have to oblong one side to get it to function.

I had this issue with mine after drilling the holes, however I can say that the nubs do seem to have correct placement after measuring and comparing with the blueprint. At first I would cock the hammer back and the disconnector would not want to let go. If I used a screwdriver to press the disconnector down and release the hammer, the trigger would then allow the hammer to drop.

The problem was not having enough forward and rearward clearance for the trigger to fully drop through the hole in the bottom. After filing out some additional material the trigger was able to sit down a bit further in the pocket and function correctly. The depth of my FCG pocket is only around 1.244" and the trigger seems to function correctly.
