Termite Problem - rust

So subterranean termites got into my storage room. I had 5 glass/wood cases of folding knifes that my Father had collected. The heat from those buggers eating the cases made moisture under the glass and caused the knives to rust. One case contained very old Boy Scout folders.

What is the best oil/fluid to soak them in to try to get the rust off?

light rust? heavy rust? what kind of rust?
brownells has steel white. its a blue and rust remover attacks the oxide not the steel
