On several of the yugos that I have built my 12 ton press would not budge the barrel out, used a 20 ton press and after the very loud pop they pressed right out. The trunion is very hard might shatter but if it bends it was already toast. I use the akbuilder barrel pressing jig (bolt with standard nut and brass nut) the brass is softer than the barrel to protect it.

I'm afraid that I will either bend or break the trunnion, or mess up the bolt face of the barrel.
I use one of akmachinists steel rods with a brass tip on a 20 ton press. Sometimes the initial move is loud and violent but it moves. If you have a concern of damaging the pieces I would stop and research tools to press the barrel out.

My 25ton press has not met a barrel it would not remove yet.

Your not getting it that hot.....Just enough to help the barrel move.

Fully support the trunnion. If you do it will not hurt it.

Additionally once you have a bunch of pressure on the barrel hit the press ram with a hammer. Often that will jar the barrel loose...

It's stuck even though you used anti seize lube on it? You did use anti seize lube on the barrel when you put it into the trunnion, didn't you? If you're using a 12T press, put as much pressure on the barrel as you can, heat it and then, if it still doesn't "POP", while it's hot and under pressure, hit the lower arm of the press with a hammer a few times. After that, if it's still not out, let it cool, put it in your car and drive over to Randall's place.
