1911 80% options?

Ive never been a 1911 fan, until a friend showed me the Les Baer video. Now I have this crazy urge to build one.

Any good advise? Also, who makes a quality 80%. Ill pay more to stay away from bad parts.

The only ones I have see is the rudias by Ares and KTO. They are quite different so I'll let you decide. Does anyone else make any?

Limited-Ten on here is doing a 2011 80%. Not exactly a single-stack 1911, but based on the photos and my own hands-on experience with the KTOs, I'd say it's the highest quality paperweight out there.

I had two or three problems with my KTO--they weren't insurmountable, but they sure were annoying to correct. Would I buy another KTO? Yes, but I'm still on the lookout for better 80%s.

Yeah, unfortunately, Limited-Ten's 2011 is the only option (other than KTO and Sarco double stack frames which require substantial amount of work). There were few projects on Rockethub, but their future is uncertain at the moment.
I wish Limited-Ten also made 1911 frames, his stuff is very good quality and price is reasonable.
Yeah, building 1911s is extremely addicting...

Having handled the Limited-10 the quality of the metal and how they form them is definately above par if you are looking for a quality frame.
