I need help installing griffin tactical compensator

so i just brought a griffin compensator to install on my ar. i am confused by the directions it came with. has anyone installed one before that can help me out? thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have installed almost every muzzle device that exists.
We're you confused about the locking tab?
It's only needed if you are actually going to mount a suppressor over the muzzle device...

yes, the locking tab got me confused. so if i dont need it, all i have to do is thread on the muzzle device? do i need any locking washers or the washers that it came with?

Only if you want to index it a particular way.
Doesn't it have all the holes and set screws though so you can close off the ports you don't want to leave open?
