    80% AR "Practice" receivers.

    Hi Folks,

I remember back in the day people selling forgings that didn't quite come out right and they would sell them as something that people could give a trial run out before doing the real deal.

Anyone know of a company selling these now?

                  Yikes.
I get it. It's not about the $.

My first 80% turned out fully functional but I'd still call it a practice run. I wouldn't anodize it. Not perfect enough.
                  The 10% idea seems good.

LOL, BlackCatRacing must be drinking those racing fuel while he is typing.

To OP: there is a guy in the commercial section selling 80% that were all milled wrong. I think he wants $50 each. It's not as cheap as I like to be, but it is already broached.

                      ..
