    Possible to shorten slide?

I am finally getting a tokarev TTC today. Ive used these guns before and love them. One of my favorite pistols. I would love to carry my tokarev but its not exactly the most concealable being 7 inches long. It can be done but would be much more comfortable with a 3.5 inch barrel. Anyways, I was wondering if it would be possible for a gunsmith to cut down the slide and barrel about an inch for a shorter gun? Or would it be easier to just have someone make a whole new slide and cut the barrel myself? Thanks in advance.

And for those of you who like the gun in original form, I would be purchasing another slide for this project.

You would also need a shorter Guide Rod, different recoil spring, retime the action so that it cycles properly and several other things.

Pistols are not like Shotguns where you chop off the end and you good to go and shoot, everything is linked together to make it function.

If you had a old russian revolver then we could chop off the barrel and make a snubby for you.

Thanks for the replies. I wish I had a nagant revolver I figured it was worth asking about on the slight chance it could work.
