1911 help please.

Springfield TRP .45. Guide rod came loose while shooting. One live round in the Pistol. Took the half guide rod out along with the spring (and bushing). It is still locked up. Any advise?

Let me get this right ... You got a live round inside the chamber? Can't get it out?

Yes. Can not rack the slide, or pull the trigger.

Ok ....with your left hand hold the slide firm ... With the right hand palm you going to hit hard the back of the grip.. Right where the main housing spring is .. That should do it... Good luck point down be safe...

Not sure about that.. But if you have a live round stock in your chamber. ....Can't rack the slide .....won't fire...Works for sure
