How much is excessively heavy? Have you measured it with a trigger gauge?

Jp rifles. Spring kits 10.95. Also some mothers polish and a qtip. Maybe even a file if you know what you're doing. Maybe want to find out what your actual pull weight is before doing any changes.

I have seen posted that some Calgunners say the RRA parts are not as hard as other triggers. Thus, can drag or change a little more with wear.

You could stone smooth to remove machining marks but keep angle positive for safety.

Well without a value as to what the actual trigger pull weight is hard to tell what heavy is, and what can be done to reduce it. Someone who used 1.5 triggers would think a 3 lb trigger is very heavy, yet for others a 12 lb is considered heavy.

Just changing out parts without first knowing whether the pull is heavy because of a defect or in need of modifing is important to know, making a trigger pull to light can be dangerous.

Std trigger parts are notoriously heavy due to negative angle (watch hammer pull down upon pulling trigger) between trigger sear and hammer.

A spring kit will help but not alleviate drag/creep/pull weight due to the rough surfaces and lack of polishing/honing with a good set of stones.

A few simple steps and you can have a crisp letoff and pull weights of 4-5 lbs and no doubling issues for NM shooting costing about $50 with stock trigger sets.

Or, you could spend $200 on a aftermarket trigger single or double stage.
