ITM receiver with a Romy G kit

Anyone build one of these? Was it as hard as I've read? I know some guys have had issues with fitting the two togther.

I built one a few years back, I recall having to do quite a bit of filing on the upper rails, some minor filing on the ejector, and a little un-twisting in the vise. It turned out fine but was alot more work than building on an NDS.

I've built on a couple . . . they're more work than an NDS3, that's for sure, but nothing impossible to overcome. If you can demill the kit, you can fit it to an ITM receiver. I'd never buy one tho, what's the point when NDS3's are 55 bucks . . . ?

Having built a few on ITM receivers... unless you already have the ITM receiver, get yourself an NDS-3 instead.

Heck, even if you DO have the ITM receiver, think about the NDS-3. I personally have a strong preference for fully heat treated receivers, and the ITM MK-99 is just plain soft.

Stay away from ITM. Not worth the trouble.

That's what I was afraid of. I bought the ITM back when AK lowers were just hitting the market again. I paid an arm and a leg too. Is there a parts kit that works well with and ITM? I guess I could build two AKs!

Don't feel bad, I bought a few Ewbanks AK receivers before the NDS's became available when we were all originally looking at the "2 weeks" threat and from what I remember they cost me around $200 each

Did you buy yours from Bright Spot Pawn too? I still have that Ewbanks I managed to get out of him for around that...
