I would look around in the FALfiles forum for gunsmiths to headspace your barrel to receiver. T. Mark Graham is a regular on there and he has a lot of experience working with FALs and comes highly recommended by a few guys on FALfiles

Just buy the headspace guages and the appropriate guages (can't remember exactly what they're called" to determine the locking shoulder size you need. Then call up DSA and tell them what you need. They should have it. Do some searching and reading

They're called "pin gauges".
OP then also gets to just buy the appropriate barrel vise and receiver wrench.
He also just buys some shim stock and figures out the correct thickness if the barrel over-times a little, or, for even more fun, he needs to just buy a file and learn to use it if the barrel is under-timed.
If the back end of the barrel hits the receiver, he also just buys a file and learns to use it.
Imo, not too very cost effective if you're building only one weapon.

I have had several people drive down from the bay area to have me dow work for them.
I do it same-day or even while-you-wait so there is no need to ship it anywhere.
It's a long drive, but you can also make a weekend out of it and visit people down here or maybe go to disneyland/knotts/universal...Randall Rausch
