    CeramaCoat?

Anyone have any experience with this stuff? I bought three cans from Midway to refinish my NDS3's. Prepped out the first one hung it up and sprayed and WTF?? It's not smooth at all but rather a "sandy" texture almost as if it was drying before it hit the receiver. My impression was that this was supposed to be a smooth finish? I haven't fired it in the oven yet and am reluctant to do so as that will bake and finish it. I think I will strip this receiver and try another can as maybe the first one was bad.

It does have a sandy texture, don't bother stripping and redoing it. You will get the same results. I refinished my P6 with it and I am happy with the results. More of a preference thing.

You may want to try some matte/satin black GunKote from Brownells.
