    Bay Area AR Smith

Looking for an AR smith for an upper I put together. Went out to shoot it and the thing was like a bolt action. Had to manually eject every round. Other than that it shot really accurately. Pretty sure gas block is installed incorrectly.

Move try e block forward. Find an old handgaurd retainer. Grind it down to fit behind the gas block. It will be perfectly spaced.

Its an HBAR barrel with a .750 gas block with 3 set screws. I'm not super sure where it would be loose or whatnot. Felt like the bolt wasn't moving at all. Maybe the gas block was blocking the gas altogether.

In reference to what??? Some barrels have this in the design, some don't.

        Maybe measurements are in order?

Gas tube could be upside down or not installed correctly. As others have suggested, gas block also may not be aligned properly with the gas port on your barrel.
