    Uzi receiver help!!!!

I need to find a online site that has 80 percent uzi receivers. I plan on purchasing a uzi 9mm smg (although not assembling it as such, it will be put together under California codes and be legal) but I would like to get all the parts for a original uzi. I found a couple sites that have complete receivers but I would rather build my own as I love building the guns. I have sites for all the semi auto parts needed to convert it over but I am finding it a little more difficult to scrounge up the needed information on where to get a 80 percent smg receiver and weld kit. If you know of any places that sell these receivers please share the info!! Just as the rest of the projects I have built; they come with full auto parts, but they never get used. I just prefer have all the original pieces with my gun. So anyone who is currently building one or knows some good info or sites, it would be much appreciated if you shared the info with me.. Thanks CG and happy shooting

Yes, As stated get the repair section off Gunbroker for $90 and use your receiver parts to make your own. Uzi is so easy, a child could do it. The bolt squares everything up. Plug the barrel into front trunion, and use an empty and de primed bullet shell to insure proper line up of barrel. Then use top cover to set rear trunion spacing. I'm surprised these kits didn't sell out faster that they have, as they are so easy to build. I guess many were put off by having to deal with short barrel, open bolt, 922r, and OAL compliance. I made mine a pistol, so only had to convert to closed bolt, and weld buttstock. Bolts can be hard to find, but sometimes Nodak has the McKay bolts(type B, with safety lever). Call him as it isn't always advertised

Right on guys, I very much appreciate the knowledge and feel much more confident tackling this build. One last question. Can you have a threaded barrel if you weld a muzzle break onto it?
