    Browning Superposed...barrel replacement

    So I have a 1969 Browning Superposed 12ga.

It was a Salt gun, with the receiver it Good condition, but the barrel wasn't. So my father (Original Owner) decided to get the barrel "Hard Chrome Plated" and replace the stock.

So, its functional, but not easy on the eyes. I'd much rather have a blued barrel to match the receiver. I called up Browning, they said there are no replacement barrels for the Superposed.

So, my question..... Would it be possible to fit Citori 12ga. barrels on to the Superposed?

If not, is it possible to remove the chrome & re-blue the barrel I have now?

I would look around for a donor gun. the chances of Citori barrels being close enough to work is slim to none. The chance that the chroming process caused issues is possible to.

I would also contact midwest gun works as they are the authority on brownings.

the chrome can be removed and the barrels reblued. Any good refinish shop should be able to take care of that fairly easily.
