    Saiga 7.62 trigger conversion problems

I watched a bunch of videos on how easy the saiga conversions were, and so of course now that I choose to do my own, I'm having problems. The problem is with the trigger, which is a tapco G2 that I ordered from Dinzag. The problem seems to be either with the hammer, or with the hooks that catch it. I can manually depress the hammer, and the the rear hook will grab it, but in normal operation, the bolt does not push it down far enough. Secondly, the front hook does not transfer the depressed hammer to the rear hook as it should if you were to fire one shot, and keep the trigger depressed. You should then be able to release the trigger, and it should be grabbed by the rear hook, not accidentally firing another round. But mine doesn't do this. The rear hook doesn't engage, and the hammer drops. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Also, around the back of my hammer, it appears to have been polished or buffed. The normal black factory finish is gone there. Is that normal? These are supposed to be new parts.

I think your front and back is all mixed up. Rear "hook" should be the disconnector, front should be the trigger hook. Confusing.
Sounds like someone may have taken too much off the front of your hammer. A pic would really help.

I got my trigger and hammer from Dinzag too. It came polished and works well. Pics would help. Something doesn't sound right
