    Howa 1500 Action Inlet

I'm toying around with the idea of 3D modeling a stock for a short action Howa 1500. After a number of hours of searching, I can't seem to find any drawings that indicate the shape/size of the inletting required.

    http://http://www.boydsgunstocks.com...g-sa-info2.jpg

Does anyone have the dimensions for the cut outs (x and y direction) but also the depth of each cut (z direction). The above image is the best I can find, but there are no dimensions associated with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm new here, so if there's a better place to post this, please let me know.

Look for the Remington 700. Nearly identical actions No it ain't. the receiver bridges are the same as a Remington but thats it.

I have only seen one Howa 1500 and it reminded me more of a Winchester M70 than a Remington M700. Take a look here:

I've seen a bunch of photos of several actions. You're right, it does look more like a Model 70.

I don't have one yet. If I did, this would be easy.

Randall He going to do what a lot of guys do. go drop big coin on a stock inlet it to an action he does't have then change his mind and have a useless stock.

I don't know what I was thinking. Scope bases are the same are a M700 but from the wood line down it's a different animal. I think it was before my morning coffee

OP the issue is even with a print you will not be able to get every little detail of how the action fits the stock. Buy the rifle then get your stock
