    Ak Prince50?? Design proposal

First and Formost I apologize for the horrid MSpaint drawing, I will get to actually creating this within the next few days, but what I hope to accomplish by this is creating a fixed magazine that requires the magazine to be removed by use of a tool, or if one has no pistol grip or brings their weapon into a freestate then a mag release lever can simply be threaded into the 10mm nut making it a simple detachable magazine.

The top picture is a side view of the triggerguard/mag release, the smaller bottom view is a front view of the mag release, and the last bigger bottom view is an enlarged side view of mag release.

Am i just over thinking this whole subject? or would this be a viable option to the fixed magazine law?

hmm, well this would be a permanent modificiation, but would still allow the rifle to return to a detachable magazine feature with a bolt threaded into the mag release nut. I may be going overkill on this, but i'll post up pics in a few days when i actually get some time to put my plan into action.

I am also quite aware of the other designs out there, but a few things that turned me away from a couple of them is permanence. While this style i am proposing is only viable to someone that has the ability to mig weld, the gun is permanently 'modified' but can still become a detachable mag with the threading of a bolt into the mag release nut. ARRAGHH I need to get off my butt and put this together, i've been thinking about it for weeks.

eh, i just looked at it, its going to be harder to accomplish than i had previously thought. I am willing to give it a shot though, i'll report back in a few days.

Well i just finished making it, just need to throw some weld on it and finish it. All in all its a bit more work than it should have taken, and probably isnt too viable of a method, but ont he plus side, it is free

I can't visualize what you got going on here so I am looking forward to the pictures.
