    Stupid and elated

    Go ahead, laugh at me.

Just finished my 1st lower build. It only took 6 hours, lost trigger pin (found it), shot a spring across the living room (found it), put small end of disconnector spring in bottom of trigger, took me an hour to figure it out.

Then, I was so excited to mate it to my other ar's upper I forgot to install buffer and spring so the bolt got stuck in buffer tube, had to take buffer tube off to get it out.

It was a fun experience but mostly I learned how it all comes together and functions.

Plus, there's not a single scratch on it!

I think there should be "first build" kits with extra springs and pins, as well as a garbage bag to keep said parts

Or, how about actual size pictures of pins and springs to match against real ones. To a 1st timer, it's like trying to read russian.

I can only assume you're very exited or not mechanically inclined. At least you persevered. Congrats

No scratches then you're excused. Youtube and a razor blade are your 2 best friends when it comes to lower assembly.

We have already established my ineptitude with small parts and following directions, do we really want to get into digital cameras and computers? But I'll ask my kids to show me.

So anyway, I got a PSA lower from Turners for $99 + tax and dros.
Stag lpk and Noveske QD strike plate.
Magpul CTR stock in od from Joe Bobs.
Finally, waiting for upper from PSA's daily deal, $399.

When I get it completed I'll post pictures, because you guys are right,"It's worthless without pictures!"

Well done, brother. We've all been there. I'm certain that a few springs from a build or two of mine are somewhere on Jupiter.
