Ok,here's the deal.
I have a IO STG that I bought used for next to nothing (spare me the IO is crap lecture please),I have put around 2,500 rounds through it without issue till now. Upon returning this weekend from a great camping, shooting, fishing trip with the family I got out the guns to clean. I noticed the cover on the STG was not fitting correctly and upon further inspection it appears the rivets in the rear trunion are loose and allowing the recoil spring to push it back enough for the dust cover to not seat. Upon inspecting the receiver further it looks like most of the rivets are poorly done. (Big surprise,it's an IO!lol)
What I want to know is if there is any way to replace all the rivets? The thing is that this rifle has been trouble free until now and is super fun to shoot, and really pretty accurate as well. I want to keep it,and keep shooting it.
So,without telling me what a dumb*** I am for buying it in the first place. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? I like the gun. How do I fix it?
Thank you.
