    Picatinny Rails

I have a Desert Eagle 50AE with a muzzle brake. It comes with a full length top rail, however i want a bottom rail on it. Anyone know of some good ideas? The only solution i can find on the net is to buy a short rail and use some kind of adhesive to attach it to the gun. What do you think?

Some adhesives are actually pretty strong. Especially the two parts. I've been thinking of doing it to my shotgun, a pic rail on the barrel. As an experiment. Ill let you know how it goes.

Thanks, I am just hesitant to do it on my own. My local gunsmith said that as long as i got the right stuff it will hold just fine and he would love to see the finished product. All i need know is for my order to get here. Its a Flat rail so I'll need to machine it to fit the underside. Would like to see how yours turns out as well. Pictures of any DIY rail systems on this thread would be nice.

I'll definitely post pics! I have a few different adhesive products. I make spearguns, so the adhesives are standing up to the 2200-2500 lbs of force from being launched on the bands, its the heat I worry about. But, since I can tig weld, I really might go that way. I have just really wanted a rail on my 12 gauge barrel for a long time.
