    Home Bubba'd peep sights

This is an experiment I'm performing on the rifle that I'm putting together for my wife. She was complaining about the stock sights on my rifle but doesn't want a red-dot on hers. I figure that rather than shell out the $ for a MOJO leaf I'd make my own. Think it will work or is this a failure in the making?

I LOVE it. I LOVE it. I LOVE it.

For a relatively slow aimed or more target situation your sight will be fantastic. I have a pump action Rommy that this is perfect for.

I was going to use red nail polish or paint on the front and two drill indentations or dremmell slots in the rear assemble with white markings. But keep my rear sights open for faster target aquisition.

This peep sight is fantastic - did you make it from scratch or mount an existing sight. I am going to keep the hoop cover the front sight on mine.

(edit) My wife has told me to stay away from her nail polish and to go buy my own!!! I will shop for floresant paint in yellow orange or ????? Your choice of yellow is excellant - reflects more light than blood red and yellow/orange/light pigeon blood red will show against snow or paper target. So I can talk my wife into me looking into the make up case is that nail polish and did your wife apply it. (edit)

The peep is just a piece of 1/8 inch flat bar that I tack welded onto the back of the original sight, then I drilled and countersunk the hole and did some shaping with a file. Front sight is just acrylic paint from my rc plane junkpile

Nice file work. The styling fits with rifle too nothing too fancy. The bevel really adds to it optically.

            This is good I likey.

Zero Bubba points; you should have used JB Weld

Your peep sight looks fantastic, a very elegant solution.
