Stag LPK with mill lower issues

I put a Stag LPK into a TR lower. I ran into problem with the bolt stop. The bottom will not depress far enough to engage the bolt, it only moves about 1/8 inch.. wondering if the hole is not deep enough or ???? any one have any issues like this????

Important... I am not a gunsmith. However, I had this problem. I read threads and people said cut the spring and/or file off the bottom of the bolt catcher buffer to make more room. I would advise against such tinkering, perform a basic check and send it back to the manufacturer.

First, make sure you have a mil spec bolt catch buffer and spring, compare them to another if you have one available, and make sure they are correctly installed. Do the same with bolt catch. There can be slight discrepancies, but I found they are rare. If you want to know if the cavity is too shallow, remove the bolt catch buffer and spring. Re-install the bolt catch, bolt catch pin and attach the upper to the lower receiver. Insert an empty magazine into the receiver. Without the bolt catch buffer and spring, there should be plenty of room for the bolt catch to pivot upward, and the empty magazine will do just that. Pull back the charging handle and the bolt catch should stop the bolt when you release it. I had this problem and that is how I diagnosed it. I am not a gunsmith, nor do I have endless amounts of experience, but I used the process of elimination. I sent back the lower for remanufacturing. During these busy times, quality control isn't what it used be. Good luck...
