    AR10 build

I am getting ready to dive into an AR10 build. I've built a few AKs but know nothing about the ARs. Is there a good book or site anyone can recommend to get me started?

This is going to be for just shooting at the range and in the desert. I'm no commando, not even on the internet.

I just picked up an 80% lower and upper from CNC Manufacturing. So I need to figure out all the other parts I need to complete it.

    Any info is appreciated. Thanks

BTW, the lower is DPMS. It seems there are either Armalite AR10, or DPMS LR-308 lowers, from what I hear.

Are you going to build or “assemble” it? I assembled mine couple years ago. My two cents, unless you are going to build more then one, its usually cheaper and quicker to buy a complete upper assembly, then track down all the individual parts and the specific .308 tools needed for just one build. Which ever way you decide to go (build/assemble), just make sure your upper receiver is DPMS compatible. Armalite patterned uppers are a tiny bit longer and will not line up correctly on a DPMS patterned lower. That being said, You tube is your friend. Also there is some good info on these sites.

PS. Dont forget to get a .308 LPK
