    AR15 Sector Switch problem

How far into the Safety Selector bore should the indent pin protrude for crisp operation of the Selector Switch?

My pin only protrudes a small amount and the Selector Switch just swings freely without engaging.

I am using a 9/64" end mill to deepen the hole for the indent pin--but how much is enough.

I'm sorry I had a brain fart. I was somehow referring to the take down pin detent. Sorry man.
But check your detent slot for any burrs.

I had the same problem and fixed it by taking a small drill bit and taking off any burs that were in the detent hole. Once I did that, the detent pin went all the way through.

Forgot to mention that I would highly recommend removing the burs using your fingers and not a drill. You can remove a lot of aluminum very quickly with a bit and a drill.

The commonly available lower receiver print shows how deep the counterbore should be for the head of the selector detent.
