    Milling My 80% Lower

Well a couple weeks ago I bought a 80% lower from Riflegear so this last weekend I visited my BIL who just happens to have a milling machine and I was able to finish up my build.

    The Lower

    Marking the lower

    Drilling number one hole

    All holes drilled

After several passes all material is removed

After assembly and hand polishing my build is done

Good stuff! How do you like that Stealth billet? I was about to bust out the card and pick one up from RG.

I have a Tactical Machine forged ready to go, and another forged on the way from Advanced Rifles. Anything specifically notable about the fit and finish?

Stealth billit is nice, comes bead blasted however I choose to hand polish it which showed the machining marks which I thought looks better. My brother in law has a Tactical Machine and I used his jig. Had to remove some material from my around the takedown pin area to fit the jig.

This was my first time doing it so it was pretty intense double checking all measurements just to make sure. Had no problem fitting it on a couple of my uppers I have. I plan on keeping in the white as I like the looks.

You need to register as a vendor and pay to advertise in the commercial sales sub-forum if you are going to sell anything other than personal items.

Interesting they mill the back shelf. Surprised the ATF let that fly. Do they have a letter supporting their current production?

Here's American Sprit Arms' letter specifically allowing it

I wondered about this when I compared my lower to my brother in laws.

So they are using ASA's letter. I was unaware that ASA had a letter allowing that shelf to be done. Very nice and thanks for sharing.
