AK 74 rails different alignments

Hello,

About to weld the ak rails. I noticed a 1/4" drill bit aligns the left lower rail to the trunnion (bulgy), and a 15/64" aligns the right. Is this of concern?

Trunnion was riveted in cocked to one side by 1/64"
Concern?
Possibly. This means the receiver on the left side is 1/64" higher than it should be.
As the bolt locks into battery this will pull the carrier down into the top rail on that side.
If after shooting you notice wear on the left side top of the upper rail that's why it's happening.
It could also affect fit of lower hand guard into receiver.

Will it stop it from shooting?

Also, I've not yet riveted the trunions. I just aligned to the front and noticed different drill bits align it properly. It is an ak builder flat. Is there something I should do?

I had the same issue with AK builder polish underfolder flat.... I bent it and when I went to set the rails, I noticed the issue. I bent another one that I had for a back up it was just fine.

I used AK builders's flat bender, the new version.

luck. I have the new version of the akbuilder flat bender. I've had three recently out of spec on bend that measured just fine before.. which I found odd as I measured them before I bent on the recommendations of others.

Solved the issue. I looked at it carefully, and after it was bent (used the new ak builder die as well), I must have tweaked it when taking it off the die. I bent and tweaked it a bit and removed the non-90 degree angle, now it's fine!

Mine was not out of square like the op. Mine was longer on on the right side(if your looking at it from the front) just a tiny bit taller, but it showed when I went to set my rails, then I looked at the front trunnion, and I noticed it was in a bit crooked. On my next flat I was real careful when I started the ram down and was super careful to make sure the die started evenly. When I finished the bend and it came out just fine.

I wonder if the bending dies are a tad loose? My next build I will give a really slow bend and see if we can get an even flat. From what I understand this is ONLY an issue on the 74 flats.
