You might be a gun nut when...

...you have a burn on your face that has visible checkering.

I was cutting the bolt knob down on a 700 bolt this evening so that I could thread the handle to install a badger knob.
I'm slicing away pieces of the old knob with a 4.5" angle grinder equipped with a cutoff wheel.
I go to wipe the sweat from my brown and singe my left temple with the hot bolt knob.
I don't think much of it until I come in the house to take a look.
I can actually see the remington bolt knob checkering in the burn...

You might be a gun nut when . . .

. . . you eat nothing but buttered toast for two weeks to finance one of your rifle purchases. You'd be amazed at how much money you can save by cutting into your food budget.

Ok, I have some friends who were into branding. I helped do an eight inch Celtic cross on my friends back, but this takes the cake. Not only did Randal brand himself with Remington checkering, but on the FACE. That is so damn tough! Emo kids eat your heart out.

I just spent over 400 bucks on "accessories" for my rifle.
