    Howa feed problems

I am not sure if this is where the question belongs, but here it goes.

I am new to bolt guns and aquired a Howa 1500 in .270. When I took it out to shoot, I found that if there were more than one round in the magazine, it did not want to feed the next round when cycled. The bullet tip of the next round would jam pointing upward into the chamber. Is this a magazine spring problem? Am I just retarded and not cycling the bolt properly or with enough force? The rifles is fairly old and appears to have many round through it. It shot nice and straight however.

Sounds like a weak mag spring to me. Not enough upward pressure on the front of the round to make it feed properly.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.
