I haven't seen anything about whether or not 80% lowers are becoming readily available again. Did something happen to stop the whole thing? I see one or two TMs every now from private parties at double the price. Is it still possible to rent mill time?

It may be that everyone who wants one has now got one. As demand drops and if supply remains high then prices should fall. I'll be in when they get to the $100 level just in case I want to build up an AR pistol at some point in the future, until then I have some OLLs tucked away in the safe.Comment

I seen them going for $400 plus, ridiculous. That wasn't the worst though.
The Del Mar Gun show before last .223 ammo $3 a round and up I saw one guy that had bulk boxes of 200 rounds NO BS the price was $750 a box. But you didn't have to wait in line for three hours. Price of a complete upper was more then the cost of my entire rifle.Comment

Just to give hint. If anybody buying billet lower from non Brand name manufacturer and it is call out 7075, be careful! I saw couple of them happened to be 6061 and haven't seen one from 7075 . More then that, check magazine well for drop free. Saw 2 of them with very tight fit.
Just a hint, nothing else.sd_shooter:

I just won an auction on Gunbroker for $90. There seems to be a lot of them for under $150.

If you live in SoCal 80percent arms has blemish lowers for sale. Not sure if he will ship those but you can visit the shop in Santa Ana and ask. Regular price is about $198 for anodized lowers all said and done but, they also sell the blemish models for $150 (not really blemished) or you can get actually blemished models for $120 not anodized. I know that's quite a bit but the lowers have a unique look to them.
