DD & Magul help

My Daniel Defense barrel just arrived but I have a question. I ordered it with the triangular hand guard mounting plate (the piece that is next to the front site) for the Magpul MOE two part hand guard. It has the circular one and not the triangle.. I don't want to remove it from the plastic bag yet in case I need to return it. Will the Magpul hand guard still fit with the circle plate? I don't have the tools to remove the front site so I can replace it and I don't want to spend the $$ at a gun smith cause it was not my fault. So my options are to buy the hand guard mounting plate, find some one near me (a fellow Calgunner perhaps?) to do the job my self. OR, call DD and ship it back, and wait again... Help me please.

According to Magpul's site, their handguard will work with either the circle or triangle handguard retaining plate.
