Latest build, took it to the range today... to run function testing bla bla bla. Had a few tools with me: brass hammer, assorted screw drivers, that sorta stuff.
I was having major failure to extract, in fact once it jammed up and popped up the dust cover. I removed the dust cover and 5 empty casings dropped out
Well, at least it can run with rocks in it, as it were. I knew what the problem was, upper rails out of alignment. After some use of eyeball MK1 measuring jig, sure enough it was off.. by about 1-1.5mm. Just enough room to give the carrier enough side to side motion to jump the extractor claw. Out comes the C clamp and after a few careful squeezes in the right places. Problem solved!
Also it is accurate. what other gun can you use a c-lamp and a hammer to do smith work on the spot. Anyways it is home now and taken apart to go into the park tank and for some furniture restoration.
