My guess is finding a separated barrel for that gun is going to be very difficult as you are aware the barrel and slide are all one machined unit. I too have a red 9 version brought home by my grandfather in WW1. Unfortunately, the barrel is slightly bulged due to a Squibb load my grandfather shot through it sometime between the war and when I got at age 15 in 1975. Funny thing about it, I'm not sure my mother knew he had given it to me, as I keep it and the ammo in my room all through high school, and can remember being a little sneaky around mom when I took it out to shoot it. I lived in a semi rural area. Those were the days. Still shoots reasonably accurate, and seem safe with reasonable loads, looks like a model T compared to modern firearms. I will never part with it! If you find a source of barrel/slides I would be interested hearing about it also. I have never looked for a replacement, so I am no help. Good luck!
