Anybody do AR lower builds from an aluminum block? I know of a few people who use CNC or mills where you can finish an 80% lower, but does anybody do the same from untouched aluminum? Maybe in the LA area...? Or, on second thought, does anyone have a similar setup with a 3D printer? That's an interesting idea as well... Thanks much!

AR Lower from billet

Why would anyone want to do that? There are way too many setups involved to have everyone stay and wait for their lower to be done and too much room for error with inexperienced operators.
Just buy a 80% and go to get it milled. There are several billet 80% so if you are after the billet look then you are in luck.
