I spent a lot of time looking for answers as to why my ar was not feeding the next round. Found a lot of suggestions but took some real digging to find the fix so I wanted to make it easier for the next guy.
1st off I have a Lmt lower and a Sabre Defense upper.
The problem was failure to feed. I came across a lot of feed ramp issues when searching. Bullets binding on the fed ramps, 54 vrs 62 gr bullets, burrs on the feed lips, gastube alignment, even buffer suggestions. Well it turned out to be as simple as a weak buffer spring.
I bought a Wolfe buffer spring and it was back up and working. Btw the guy at wolfe had a honest suggestion to only change one part at a time, as i was going to change buffers... and start throwing parts at it cuz I was getting frustrated. The old spring was 3 top 4 inches shorter than the new one.
So if you are having a FTF problem and everything appears ok try a 4 dollar buffer spring.
