Checl the springs on the trigger and hammer. Make sure you put em in correctly.

I checked the hammer on another ar and the part that hooks on the disconnector is allot wider

Pictures might help some to see what's going on. We're the number of rounds consistent? Or was it sporadic, or sometimes 2 sometimes 3 rounds?

ok working on that, have to charge the camera battery first

picture # 6 is from another rifle, Note how wide the hammer is where it hits the disconnector, the rest of the pictures are from the bad rifle

Ensure the disconnector spring is installed fat side down , you may need a new disconnector if it still does not catch.

A simple function check afterwards should let you know if you have fixed the issue.

All of my hammers look like yours, not like the one in picture 6. I can't see anything wrong with your setup from those pictures, but I'm far from an expert. Let us know if you figure it out!
