    Homemade Bullet Button Tool Alternative

Saw this video which has a bullet button installed in the magazine:

This is a bullet button tool from (when in stock) www.ubbt.net

NOTE: I inserted this video because solely to show the device. As for the guy, I think he's played a little too much Call of Duty

    Watch from 1:00 to 1:33

So i looked up the price for the items:

    $9.99 for a 3-pk.

    $29.99 to $39.99 EACH.

I'm not the type thats hung up on cosmetics as much as functionality. I think the ability of having a BB on the mag serves well in the sense that you can manipulate the BB with a mag instead of having to switch.

I made my own and this is the process I took. The tools I used are:

    Hammer
    5/32 punch
    Electrical Tape
    12 Gauge Hull
    Standard AR magazine

I punched out the primer of the 12 Gauge hull. This will be used as your BB tool.

I thought about drilling a hole and using some sort of epoxy, however I think electrical tape preserves the overall structure and integrity of the magazine by not making unnecessary holes.

Finally a picture of the item in use. Only pictured the lower, went off on a tangent while cleaning.

Let me know what you think. Obviously if you don't mind utilizing a separate tool (bullethead, etc.) then whatever. I just thought this is a good and pretty much free alternative to the UBBT if anyone has looked into it.

Looking forward to hearing your responses!
