    Anodizing or coloring issue?

I had a lower anodized the other day. It came out great minus a small section. Is this from the anodize or the black coloring after? Any fix for it?

I tried a black gun pen but it didn't match up well at all.

They probably didn't do a good cleaning before anodizing or they must of touched it or something before the dye color how much did they charge you??

If its a forged lower it might have had an inclusion of dirt/contaminate pressed into the outer surface and when etched it broke thru and had a different texture then the rest of the base metal.

Cant rework it without stripping/polishing or bead blasting and that will enlarge all holes. Live with it, its a tool.

        Who did the anodizing?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment. Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

update: I took it back to shop (unnamed) and they blasted it and re-anodized it. The inclusion is still there. The anodizer came out and explained what is above; a contaminate in the lower it's self. They did not charge me for the blasting/ano on the second go around. I fully believe him, and was VERY VERY happy with their work, as the other lowers came out absolutely great! I would recommend their services to anyone (PM me for their contact info if interested).

Looks like 6mmintl nailed it right away. You owe him a reacharound.

It sounds like the shop was very good to you. They went ahead and blasted and re anodized, to make you happy. I would think you should post their info, that would be the kind of company I would want to go to.

First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
