Stag model 8 problem

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right spot to post so feel free to move..

I have a Stag Model 8, bought new in December no problems until today. Went to the range today and encountered my first problem.. the trigger wouldn't reset. Not sure what to do, this is my first AR. I would have to either cycle the bolt again or put my finger behind the trigger and push it forward.

No, not yet. I feel that if they weren't this would have been happening all along.

How many rounds fired before the problem occurred?
Was there any recent disassembly/reassembly work on the lower?
Did you recently install any new lower parts?

I'll have to look into that.

Maybe about 500+ rounds before this.
No recent disassembly/reassembly work done to the lower.
No new lower parts at all.

I will, meeting up with my cousin who is more knowledgeable about the AR platform than I am.

Note: Forgot to mention this in the OP; when I keep the trigger depressed and rack the bolt and let go of the trigger, there is no click like there normally is.

Forgot to mention this in the OP; when I keep the trigger depressed and rack the bolt and let go of the trigger, there is no click like there normally is.

That click is the disconnector releasing your hammer to the trigger when you release the trigger.
As you have said that your trigger is not resetting, it would also be correct that your disconnector does not release the hammer to the trigger.
Basically, your disconnector is holding the hammer until you press the trigger forward to reset it.
