    Cerakote pattern help

I've started experimenting with cerakote from home. I have all the equipment to do it properly, and I recently coated one of my pistols in a titanium color and I'm happy with it. For my next project I want to add some patterns to a shotgun. I've seen the snake skin looks pretty good and I would like to know how to get that pattern. I've also seen skull patterns that look like maybe stencils. Does anyone have experience with different cerakote patterns and how to apply them? Are there any resources that helped you out? Thanks!

I wouls think that you can make them yourself from high heat tape. Or look for cerakote appropriate stencils.

Snake skin patterns are not done with stencils or tape.......

Just remember that Cerakote is not like paint, you have a fixed time before Cerakote will not let anything stick to it.

One you paint the first coat and flash cure it for 15 minutes you have 4 hours after the first flash cure before nothing will stick to it. You can not sand and paint over Cerakote like you can with paint, when it gets to that point you have to sand blast it all off and start over.

Thanks for the replies. I found a company that makes stencils in high heat tape http://bulldogarms.com which I'll try first. I plan on flash curing each layer then baking for the full 2 hours.
