Arsenal SAM7K how to go about converting to rifle

recently bought an arsenal SAM7K milled receiver Bulgarian Krinkov in pistol configuration. I fired it last weekend and have decided I would like it even more in rifle configuration.

Two obstacles in my way, 1 is the booster/brake is perm attached, looks just like its pinned and I have no idea if it is threaded to 24mm like most arsenal rifles, would like some type of fake can solution for barrel length issues.

2nd problem is that being a milled receiver, my stock options are limited esp with the pistol trunion deal, but since I have no plans for moving out of state I wouldnt have a problem with welding a locked open triangle folder on it, after I get the barrel issue taken care of.

also, anyone with AK know how in OC area have the resources and know how? I few bucks and a case of beer would be provided

    thanks

sorry bro, do u have the tax stamp from the ATF to convert it? CALIF, ur better off getting a krink kit with barrel extension than trying to make a pistol into a rifle..IMO

Not required as the OP has already mentioned a barrel extension. He's not talking about manufacturing a short barreled rifle.

OP, just make sure you extend the barrel to 16" or greater before making any provision to attach a stock. With the rear trunnion block I see, you might want to consider an Ace stock or their "pig nose" that will allow you to attach an AR buffer tube/stock. One warning, though... it wouldn't be surprising to find that that rear trunnion is as hardened and as much of a PITA as drilling through my Draco's was. Tapping was pretty much out of the question.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

shooting the 762 round out of a pistol isn't as fun as it looks. I had a mini draco and sold it after 1 range trip. it's bc of that that I ended up buying a SAM7r rifle.

          OP, keep us updated.

Not that tough if you know a good welder.

Conversion of UF M64 to 2 tang solid stock>>>

Milled solid stock receiver to side folder conversion>>>

            Link to album

Appears to be cut at the back of the receiver, and the pistol trunnion piece added on.
Could remove, and replace or modify what's existing for whatever stock you desire (with a little cut, and welding )
Also appears the brake is pinned. Should be able to drill out, unscrew, and replace/ re-pin with extended version to gain >16" OAL for a rifle conversion.
            As mentioned before:
Do the barrel extension first then the stock when barrel is greater than 16".

That receiver of yours should be a breeze to drill through. All depends on using the correct tool for the job. The stock is a one of a kind that I saved from the scrap pile, add a little metal, some milling work an that's how she turned out.

yeah, barrel situation will be taken care of before the stock. my welds suck, just playing around with scrap metal and a MIG is about as far as that goes. I would be fine with dremeling a triangle a bit and welding it direct but I cant tell if the rearend piece is aluminum or not, not sure if I want to try to weld on that.

there aren't any threads on the frontsite block. you'll have to either switch it out with a new one with threads or make a barrel extension to accommodate this issue.
the sling plate is held on by 2 flush mounted rivets you'll have to locate and drill out. you maybe screwed on the butstock choices considering the receiver is a modified underfolder.

BTW who did you buy yours from?

Good info, I'm thinking the most painless will be a welded triangle or ace.

I got mine from rifle gear, they also has the century M92s
