80% lower problem, broken drill bit

I recently bought a few 80% lowers from an unknown local company, at least new to the 80% AR world. I was looking them over test fitting grips and pins when i discovered a broken drill bit inside the front takedown pin spring hole. I can make out where it was about to clear the small witness hole on the side of the receiver but never made it and broke off. I have emailed them and im waiting their response to see if they can fix it or give me a replacent. Worst case scenario, how would i go about extracting it myself?

There are drill bit extractors. Got a set from sears. But the spring hole you are referring to is a pretty small bit. Never worked on one that small. I'd just get a replacement and not even think about fixing their mistake. Good luck.

Yeah, would be a tough fix for sure! Let us know what they have to say.

Just recieved a response from the company, i will be mailing it back for a replacement but since its anodized they migh just send it out to get the bit extracted since their current batch of anodized lowers have not been anodized yet. Apparently they had a few others with the same problem, this one just slipped their QC.

Who did you buy it from? It may help out the next purchaser.

This place will do it, very reasonable prices too.
