Ouch, are we still at the point where these things "need" to be $200 each? Hopefully demand settles a bit so prices can come back down as well.

well, thing to keep in mind, price drops with demand, and these are machined out of bar stock, not cast, major differance

I would like to do a AR pistol build but I'll wait for prices to drop. I suspect supply will probably catch up or exceed to demand by years end on these. That should bring prices down. Especially with all these new people getting into the business.

Standard lowers are forged 7075 not cast.

What's up with the raw bar stock finish near the buffer tube threads? Why such large corner relief where the pistol grip mounts?

Still, $200 is too rich for 6061 Aluminum billet. I'd take a Forged 7075 over a billet 6061 any day. If it will be a safe queen 6061 will work fine, but a true milspec, typeIII anodized forged 7075 lower will out last the operator multiple times over.

I bought some 6061 billet lowers, and I have to say, that I will probably be selling or trading them. Not because of the poor quality, but because I have forged 7075 lowers coming in for the same price and will last longer.

I'm confused. The completed lower doesn't look much like the 80% shown.
