    74,strange headspacing problem

trying to headspace this 74, what i always have used on 47's with no problem, is a no go gage and a dummy round. the problem im having is, it will not lock on the dummy round, but it will lock on the no go gage. any one ever had this problem,or know what it could be? im using a no go from brownells and it is stamped with the proper cal marking. this crazy thing has me stumped, any help would be appreciated.
The 9x19mm, 9mm Luger, and 9mm Para are all names for the 9mm we all know and love today. If you shoot someone with one of those other two rounds, plan on him being upset if he finds out about it.

I'd take a good look at your dummy round. I'd trust the gage,
Try a live round but weapon disassembled of course

thanks kc that was the problem i tried a few rounds and found the varnish they use on the ammo was preventing it from chambering all the way.normal cycling of the bolt it wouldn't be a problem , but pushing it in by hand gently for headspacing......

i got a nice tight HS now, thanks again
